Peintre autodidacte, Jean-Pierre FAUVET compose ses toiles comme des prises de vues photos. L’humain, et particulièrement « la femme et l’enfant » sont au centre de ses réalisations sans recherche d’esthétique actuelle.
La recomposition corporelle mêle des lignes décharnées à des rondeurs maternelles voire fécondes, une forme de genèse du corps sans compromission transposée dans un univers réaliste. Le spectateur en position de face à face avec la toile est à la fois voyeur tout en étant observé par le sujet.

Self-taught painter Jean-Pierre FAUVET composes his paintings as though taking a photograph. Human beings, and particularly "women and children", are at the centre of his creations without any effort to inject current aesthetics. The recreation of the body combines bony lines with maternal and even fertile rounded shapes, a form of the body's genesis without compromise, transposed into a realist universe. The spectator standing opposite the painting is simultaneouslya voyeur, while also being
observed by the subject.
